Dr. Chessa Purser was raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she was a member of the soccer team and four year Academic All-American. She earned her B.S. at Texas Tech University in Biology and Sociology. During her senior year she suffered a spinal injury that left her unable to play soccer. After her spinal injury she had no choice but to have a spinal fusion. After starting medical school, she was still experiencing extreme pain and was continually told the fusion was a success. After multiple CAT scans and MRI’s she was told there was nothing more they could do. Still experiencing pain, a friend convinced her to try a chiropractor. This is where Dr. Chessa discovered chiropractic and natural healing and dropped out of medical school to set her sights on a new dream, eventually leading her into her pursuit in obtaining her doctoral degree in Chiropractic from Parker University where she obtained two more B.S degrees in Anatomy and Health and Wellness.
Dr. Chessa Purser is certified in the Upper Extremity Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) a complete system of analysis and treatment regarding the fascial chains that run throughout the body. She also is certified in Louisiana in Dry Needling. Dr. Chessa Purser also has specialized training in the correction of extremities through specific adjustment techniques. As a lifelong athlete, Dr. Chessa Purser has a fascination to help individuals of all ages experiencing sports related injuries as well as help individuals avoid the surgery that she had to undergo to maintain a better quality of life.
